1 week with Invisalign Braces

I cannot believe it's been 1 week since I had my Invisalign Braces fitted and I cannot believe I've stuck it out and am still wearing them!

If you missed my last blog, I have been struggling with these braces :( I've been in a lot of pain, the braces are tight and I've mouth sores! I've also been struggling to remove them especially the bottom brace.

I can say 1 week on it is getting better in so far as it's easier to remove the braces but I'm still struggling with eating and drinking. I'm going the whole day without anything other than water and take them off when I'm at home for 2 hours to eat, drink and clean them. I'm sure I've lost weight as well in the week! :)

Looking at my teeth you wouldn't know they were there but I do feel like I'm still holding my mouth in a different way and slurring a bit with a lisp! Funny thing is I know that people may not have noticed but it still feels weird to me!

I think I've also noticed that one tooth has turned a bit - that'll be why it was so bloody sore!

I didn't think I'd be able to continue with them after last week but it is getting better and I'm going to persevere with it!

Before and After Photos of Dracula PRP Therapy for Under Eye Hollows

I had Dracula PRP Therapy 6 weeks ago with the PRP Genius himself Dr Daniel Sister. My Eyes had horrible hollows which made me look tired.

I noticed a difference on Day 4 post procedure but the pictures below are me now at 6 weeks post procedure. The results are amazing and the photos speak for themselves.

The hollows have been rejuvenated and have plumped...

I haven't had any Toxin injections since November and I have already seen a huge difference with the Crow's Feet.

I won't need another treatment for 12 months now...

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Hairloss one year on...

I had the pleasure of reviewing one of my patients last week who was treated just over 1 year ago with Dracula PRP Therapy for Hairloss and Hair Thinning.

She looked amazing but more importantly so did her hair! She had 1 treatment of PRP and noticed a huge difference at the 2-3 week stage. She initially hadn't told anybody that she had a treatment but she was soon getting lots of compliments from various people including her hairdresser! The difference was amazing!

Today her hair is still thick and shiny and it's not falling out as it had previously done! She doesn't have any visible patches on her scalp where her hair was thinning but you could clearly see fine wisps of baby hair that was still re growing!

Dracula PRP Therapy which is Dr Daniel Sister's version, is an amazing treatment! It blows my mind each time I do a treatment regardless of what it is for as everyone sees fantastic results a lot sooner than I tell them that they will! I just LOVE knowing I've personally made a huge difference to a persons wellbeing with this treatment!

Dracula PRP Therapy is exclusive to the Claudia McGloin Clinic and Ireland. Claudia trained with Dr Daniel Sister, a world renowned Anti-Ageing and Hormone Specialist in London a couple of years ago and has done several PRP treatments for a wide variety of conditions including Sports Injuries & Orthopaedics, Breast Volume Correction, Skin Rejuvenation, Nerve Damage, Skin Reactions and Burns.

Skin Care Samples

The clinic are always given skin care samples to try to see if it's something that we like and may add to the clinic.

I love trying out new products but I am also sceptical about products claiming to be the best on the market and so on!

Recently, we were given some samples but sadly they were confiscated at London Stansted Airport due to the fact that you are only allowed 1 small plastic bag and for some reason they classed my powder eyeshadow as as a liquid! Yes you read that right a liquid! So, in the process had to leave them behind because little Miss Grumpy pants who was informed is just been to 2 medical conferences decided as I didn't have a prescription for them, I couldn't have them!

We are always looking out for excellent medical skin care products so, next time we get some we will hold onto them for dear life and try them out!

If there are any skincare brands that you'd like to see us stock get in touch with us and let us know!

Review of a patient with Spinal Problems following Dracula PRP Therapy

I can 100% empathise with people who have pain due to Spinal Problems especially Slipped Discs and Trapped Nerves! I suffer with my Spine and unfortunately have had several surgeries and procedures which are ongoing!

When I saw my patient try to walk through the clinic door I immediately felt his pain. He could barely walk let alone climb onto the bed!

He was in absolute agony, muscles in spasm and he just could not function. Despite having physio with rest, nothing was working and he took to the Internet in desperation to find something to help!

He came across PRP and Dracula Therapy kept cropping up and found me and the clinic as I'm the only Medical Practitioner in Ireland doing this particular treatment. He says he knew there and then that this was the lifeline he needed and decided to try a treatment.

The results have been truly amazing as he is no longer in pain and is back doing his everyday activities! He says he has never looked back since that one and only treatment.

'I should've gone to someone who knew what they were doing'...

I get a lot of patients that come to me who have been elsewhere for treatments and are unhappy with the results.

Following an in depth consultation with them and a full explanation about the different procedures and what I feel would benefit them better, I then proceed with treatment.

I hate to see people unhappy and I especially hate to see people that have been left with botched procedures. I will always help them where I can - I know first hand what it's like to have a botched treatment and I know how upsetting it is!

A lot of my colleagues won't touch these patients as the problem becomes their problem. This is true but if I can help in some way and make a difference to the patient then I will.

Recently, I treated a patient who had come to see me after a treatment she received awhile back from another Medical Practitioner.

'I should've gone to someone who knew what they were doing' was her comment after I had treated her!

I always get a sense of satisfaction when I see their genuine smiles of happiness after I've done a treatment and corrected the initial problem.

Love my job...X

To Activate PRP or Not!!!

This has been a burning question in the Medical Aesthetic field for a long time. Should Platelet Rich Plasma PRP be activated after spinning in the centrifuge before injecting?

After my own research and training with Dr Daniel Sister and learning about the different kits on the market and talking to other Medical Professionals, my answer is YES!

I feel that by activating the Platelets you will achieve a much better and quicker treatment. It makes sense to activate to release the Growth Factors!

I conducted my own experiment by not activating the Platelets during a couple of procedures and while the treatment worked, it took longer to do so than if I had activated the Platelets.

What's also interesting is that a couple of colleagues did the same experiment and also found that by not activating the Platelets didn't give as good a result as when they did activate!

I also feel by double spinning in a centrifuge you are losing and destroying some of the Platelets. That's why I only ever use Dracula Therapy the trademarked kit created by Dr Daniel Sister. The results I've had are amazing and I only ever do 1 treatment for patients as opposed to 4 treatments that other practitioners do! That's their kits plus they don't activate the Platelets.

There is definitely something in the activation of Platelets and I do believe that is why I'm achieving fantastic results with my patients and I will continue to activate the Platelets.

Aesthetic Medicine Live 2015

Today I attended the Aesthetic Medicine Live Conference in Olympia in London. It was great to catch up with colleagues as well as meet new ones.

The main reason for attending was to attend the PRP Symposium which was chaired by my mentor, friend and colleague Dr Daniel Sister.

It was a great Symposium which started with Dr Daniel Sister talking about PRP then Dr Sherif Wlwakil talked about The O Shot and The P Shot, then Vicki Smith talking about her early experience with PRP for Hairloss and then back to the PRP Genius to finish off talking about the amazing treatments that PRP can be used.

I just LOVE PRP and have had amazing results in just 1 treatment from Dracula Therapy Dr Sisters version...Other kits claim you need 2-4 treatments but with this 1 is enough!!!

I think from today and any other presentation or research I've done, Platelets must be activated in order to get the results you want...Like many others, I've conducted some research into this...More to follow on that but...

I didn't take many photos today but I did take 2...

The Naughty Boys as I am now calling them were amazing...Lots of giggles on stage but you had to be there!!!

Invisalign Braces...My Journey starts here!!!

After years of putting it off, I finally decided the time was right and opted to have braces! A lot has changed over the years and now braces are invisible! No more visible metal on your teeth woo hoo!

I went to Quay Dental in Galway and had my consultation with Dr Lisa Creaven - you've probably seen her on the TV adverts for Invisalign - she put me at ease immediately and I decided there and then to go ahead and get my braces :)

It took about 8 weeks from the impressions being taken and sent off to me being called back yesterday to get them fitted! I was super excited and couldn't wait to get them on...

Now at this point I am going to say that OMG, they are sore! I only lasted 6 hours before I had to remove them and even then it was with great difficulty especially the lower brace! I know this is normal and I know it's a sign they're working but I didn't think it would be this sore! After having something to eat and drink, I took 2 Paracetamol and popped the braces back in.

Today is Day 1 and this morning I made a video diary which I didn't upload yet but I have been in absolute agony all day! To make matters worse, I was busy at work and knew it'd take an age to get them off so didn't get to eat or drink anything until I got home at 6pm!

I was in so much pain I could've cried and I've got a blister on the inside of my mouth - I seriously cannot see me carrying on with these if this is going to continue. Had someone told me in the beginning how sore it would be I may well have decided not to go ahead with them!

I maybe just a Drama Queen but I'm finding it sooooo hard to remove them and the whole routine of removing to eat and drink - I think I'll end up a size 0 just drinking water! I've just had to take more painkillers and I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day because I really can't have another day like today. And did I mention I'm slurring my words a bit and holding my mouth in a funny way?!?!

I keep thinking it'll all be worth it when I've fabulous teeth!

Is there a link between Hormones and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome??

Since my Gynaecologist confirmed that I had Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS), I have been doing a lot of research into this and the treatments available. I have talked with a lot of people on a support group that not only have PCS but they also have Endometriosis and Hormone problems! Just like me!

This cannot be a coincidence!

I am now convinced that there is a definite link between the fact that I have no Progesterone and now PCS...I don't even think that I have Endometriosis but I do think a lot of people are being misdiagnosed and mistreated!

I will continue to research and see what else I can find to confirm that there is a link between the two - it makes sense to me and then of course it will also make sense that Hormones need to be checked and re-balanced before surgical interventions like Hysterectomies are even considered!

Pelvic Congestion Syndrome

What is Pelvic Congestion Syndrome?

Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS) is a condition caused by Varicose Veins in the Pelvis. The Varicose Veins are caused by incompetent valves in the Veins of the Pelvis. This causes blood to fall back into the Pelvis rather than being taken away from the Pelvis by the Iliac Vein which causes congestion.

What are the symptoms of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome?

The symptoms of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS) are caused by these Varicose Veins pushing onto the other organs in the Pelvis:

* Pressure of the Varicose Veins onto the Pelvis causes Aching more so during a woman's period
* Pressure on the Rectum causes Bowel symptoms such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
* Pressure on the Bladder causes Irritable Bladder which can cause Stress Incontinence
* Pressure on the Vagina can cause Dyspareunia (Discomfort on Sexual Intercourse)

How is Pelvic Congestion Syndrome diagnosed?

If you suffer with any of the symptoms above and/or have any visible Varicose Veins around the Vulva, Groin or Vagina then you need to see a Medical Professional and have a Venous Duplex Ultrasound Scan. Scans such as Ultrasound, MRI and CT are not enough to diagnose Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. Sadly, a lot of women are misdiagnosed!

Currently in Ireland there is nowhere to have a Transvaginal Duplex Ultrasound Scan nor is the treatment for Pelvic Congestion Syndrome available in Ireland.

If you have PCS or you think you have please get in touch with Claudia at the Claudia McGloin Clinic/The Vein Clinic Ireland. You can contact her directly via email: claudia@claudiamcgloinclinic.com or by calling the clinic on 071 9140728.

Treatment for Hand Age Spots using a Superficial Skin Peel

One of the treatments at the Claudia McGloin Clinic for Age Spots and Hydration of the Backs of the Hands is using a Superficial Jessner's Modified Mesopeel.

The picture below is immediately 'Before' and immediately 'After' the Skin Peel. The results are great but for added Hydration, Restylane Skinboosters of Hyaluronic Acid need to be injected.

The Skin appears more Hydrated and Taut in the 'Below - After' picture which won't give away the person's age!

100% Highly recommend

Were you pleased with the treatment?
I used to travel to Dublin to have my treatments and I was so happy when I recently saw this clinic in Sligo. I cannot fault this clinic all. Claudia is so professional, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. She put me at ease straight away and I will be continuing my treatments with her. I had a Dracula Therapy treatment and fillers and the results so far are amazing. I'd highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants cosmetic treatments. I'll definitely be returning soon for more treatments.

Treatments – Radiesse Filler

A short background and review of my PRP/draculla therapy with Claudia Mcgloin.

Were you pleased with the treatment?

I'm an international martial artist and personal trainer who has suffered for a long time with 2 bulging disc's and a ruptured ligament in my neck/c spine to the point some days where it was unmoveable. Massages/gels/heat packs/acupuncture etc all provided very limited temporary relief, but not sufficient. After doing some research on PRP, I contacted Claudia to arrange an appointment and tried not to have too high of expectations just in case it didn't work for me. However, the results blew me away. I received the therapy on a Friday eve at 6pm, Saturday didn't feel any difference, but when I woke Sunday morning it was like somebody had transplanted me with a new neck!! I've not had any problems with it since and could not believe how effective and quick this treatment worked after suffering for so long. The treatment itself very simply put: 'it's yours, so is harmless and safe'.

The procedure with Claudia in her clinic from first contact was extremely professional, comfortable, friendly and makes a huge difference that Claudia takes a genuine interest and care in her patients/clients requirements. If there is anyone out there with injuries and you want them fixed then there is only one solution in my opinion. Do a quick research on PRP and you wont find a reason not to get it done!! I regret not knowing about this procedure years ago as I believe there isn't an injury/ailment that cannot be repaired or helped by it. Many thanks again to Claudia and her great service at the clinic in Sligo.

Dracula PRP Therapy ™

Dracula PRP Therapy ™

Everywhere you look these days there are articles and adverts for ANTI-AGEING, be it treatments or Skin Care products that have been designed to reduce Lines and Wrinkles and to give the face a LIFT.  Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures are on the increase with Medical Aesthetic Procedures becoming the most popular and the most effective. Everyone wants to look younger but they also want treatments that require no downtime but that will also show positive results. So what is the best Non-Surgical Medical Aesthetic Procedure?

The hottest Anti-Ageing treatment that will turn back the clock has to be Dracula PRP Therapy ™.
The name may sound Frightening as you think of Bram Stoker’s Dracula but it seems rather fitting that this amazing treatment has come to Sligo, the home of Bram Stoker’s mother and the place that inspired his amazing ‘Dracula’! In fact, Dracula PRP Therapy ™ is EXCLUSIVE to the Claudia McGloin Clinic and is the ONLY clinic in Ireland to offer Dracula PRP Therapy ™. Claudia McGloin has trained with Dr. Daniel Sister, a world renowned Cosmetic, Anti-Ageing and Hormone Specialist Doctor and Leading Expert in Dracula PRP Therapy ™in London. He created and brought this amazing treatment to the UK and Ireland.

What is Dracula PRP Therapy ™?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. Platelets are full of Growth Factors which regulate the life of any cell in the body. All body organs possess quiescent stem cells and once activated can lead to the formation of healthy new tissue. Dracula PRP Therapy ™ uses your own Plasma which has been separated from your Red Blood Cells which are activated and then injected back into your body.
Because these are your own cells there is no change of rejection, infection or allergy. This amazing treatment allows so many areas of the body to be treated and all at the same time. Only Plasma Rich in Growth Factors allows for the stimulation of the cell healing process in many different tissues.
The ageing process is like a domino effect which happens in Bone, Muscle, Fat and Skin. Once the process has started, the only treatment to address all four layers is Dracula PRP Therapy ™.

Dracula PRP Therapy ™ can be used on any part of the body to treat any of the following and much more.

·         Stretch Marks
·         Acne
·         Scars
·         Hair Loss
·         Breast Volume Correction
·         Facelift
·         Skin Tightening
·         Wounds
·
How does Dracula PRP Therapy ™ work?

A small amount of blood is taken from the patient and placed into a sterile tube. The tube is then put into a centrifuge. The blood is spun to separate the Plasma, Platelets and Red Blood Cells. Once separated, the Plasma is then injected back into the body to the areas that require injecting.

Dracula PRP Therapy ™ is 100% NATURAL and 100% SAFE.

The Claudia McGloin Clinic use PRP for Sports Injuries & Orthopaedics with fantastic results.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS as it is more commonly known is a condition of the Digestive System. It can cause bouts of Stomach Cramps, Bloating, Diarrhoea and Constipation. While Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a common condition that affects both men and women, it can also be misdiagnosed!
Irritable Bowel Syndrome can affect anyone but usually symptoms are noticed between the ages of 20-30. People who suffer with Irritable Bowel Syndrome can experience these symptoms in bouts which are often during times of stress and after eating certain foods.
One major characteristic of Irritable Bowel Syndrome is fluctuating transit time. This is when food travels too quickly through the Digestive System. The undigested food particles can irritate the gut causing it to empty suddenly. Irritable Bowel Syndrome can also co-exist with Premenstrual Syndrome and has also been associated with Fibromyalgia.

What causes Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?

The exact cause of Irritable Bowel Syndrome is unknown but it has been linked to a sensitivity of the gut.
There are however several triggers that can exacerbate the condition. Some of these are:
·         Stress
·         Intestinal Parasites
·         Poor Digestion
·         Food Sensitivity or Food Intolerance
·         Feeling Emotionally Low
·         Being Physically Run Down
·         Bowel Infection
·         Candida
·         Disorders of the Nervous System
·         Drug Side Effects
·         Gynaecological Problems
·         Inadequate Digestive Enzymes
·         Nutrient Deficiencies
·         Poor Diet
·         Surgery

The Intestine is connected to the Brain. Signals go back and forth between the Bowel and Brain. These signals affect bowel function and symptoms. The nerves can become more active during stress causing the intestines to be more sensitive and contract more.

Symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

The symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome can vary from person to person but most people will experience Diarrhoea, Constipation or both. The symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome tend to be worse after eating and tend to come and go in bouts. Many people will have a flare up of their symptoms which can last from 1 day up to 4 days.

The most common symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) are:
Abdominal Pain and Cramping – which can be relieved following a bowel movement
·         A change in bowel habit - such as Diarrhoea, Constipation or Both
·         Bloating and Swelling of the Abdomen
·         Excessive Wind (Flatulence)
·         An urgent need to go to the toilet
·         A feeling that you need to open your bowels even if you have just been to the toilet
·         A feeling you have not fully emptied your bowels
·         Passing mucus from your back passage (bottom)
Due to the embarrassment, pain and discomfort of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, many people with the condition also have feelings of Depression and Anxiety.

Diagnosing Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

There are no specific tests for Irritable Bowel Syndrome because it does not cause any obvious detectable abnormalities in your Digestive System.
If you have the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome your GP will not always need to order blood tests to help diagnose you.

However, in some cases they may recommend blood tests to rule out other conditions that cause similar symptoms such as an Infection or Coeliac Disease (a stomach condition caused by Gluten Intolerance).
Irritable Bowel Syndrome is usually diagnosed by carrying out a physical examination and checking whether your symptoms match those typical of the condition.

Treatment for irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

The symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) can often be reduced by changing your diet and lifestyle. In some cases, medication or psychological treatments may also be helpful.
Colonic Hydrotherapy Treatments are also very good for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. They can also be combined with a Colonic Enema which has been tailored for the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome to help calm the Colon and reduce the spasms.

The Claudia McGloin Clinic have treated several people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome both in the UK and Ireland with excellent results.

Claudia’s tips for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS):
·         Change your diet
·         Increase fibre intake
·         Keep a food diary
·         Take probiotics
·         Exercise
·         Reduce STRESS
·         Avoid sugar
·         Avoid excess alcohol
·         Restrict your tea and coffee intake
·         Restrict fizzy drinks
·         Eat regular meals
·         Avoid red meat
·         Avoid artificial sweeteners
·         Avoid fatty and fried foods
·         Drink plenty of water
·         Get a good night’s sleep
·         Have regular Colonic Hydrotherapy treatments

Hands & Age Spots

Did you know that our Hands give away how old we really are??? We always look after our face with moisturiser and SPF but we always seem to miss out our Hands :(

People come to the Claudia McGloin Clinic with Age Spots on their Hands and they've no idea how they got them until we tell them - driving a car you are exposed from the suns rays coming through the windscreen, if you work in an office and have a desk by the window, you are exposed to the rays! Usually though, we just don't apply an SPF to our hands and the sun catches us all year round!

Help is at hand though because we can treat your Hands and get them back to tip top condition. We have several treatments and we can remove the Age Spots :)

Big lesson is to moisturise and apply SPF to your Hands daily. If you are washing dishes, wear rubber gloves and especially in winter protect your Hands with woolly gloves.

Treatments for Hands include:

* Skin Peels both Superficial & Medium TCA
* Skinboosters of Hyaluronic Acid
* Thermal Abrasion
* Advanced Diathermy
* PDO Threadlifts

There is something for everyone at the Claudia McGloin Clinic. Contact us for further details or to book a Skin Consultation.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Arthritis

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) otherwise called Dracula Therapy is an amazing procedure for treating Arthritis. PRP is a 100% safe and natural treatment that uses your own Plasma. The red blood cells are NEVER used just in case you've seen those Kim Kardashian pictures!

After we take a sample of your blood, we spin it in a centrifuge which separates the Plasma from the red blood cells. We then take the Plasma that contains your Growth Factors, activate it and then re inject where we need to treat.

Over the years since we started using PRP at the Claudia McGloin Clinic, we have seen absolutely fantastic results in our patients.

Claudia has over 18 years nursing experience specialising in Trauma & Orthopaedic and worked as an Advanced Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner in the UK. She set up and ran her own Nurse Led Clinics including a Joint Clinic injecting patients with Osetoarthritis with Hyaluronic Acid. PRP is now the preferred treatment of choice for Orthopaedic Conditions at the clinic.

For further information on Platelet Rich Plasma, visit the clinic facebook pages or call the clinic directly on 071 9140728.

Consultations are extremely important and all new patients at the Claudia McGloin Clinic are required to have one prior to treatment. The reasons are simple so, that we can assess you and ensure that the best suited treatment has been selected for you and your individual need. This will also give you a chance to ask as many questions as you can about the procedure and of course see the qualifications hanging on the clinic walls and learn about the experience of the medical professional carrying out the procedure.

All consultations must be done face to face! Consultation over the phone, via email or Skype are not acceptable. We cannot see you so, how can we best decide on a treatment plan for you? What if we got it wrong? You can argue that you would be seen in person at the time of the treatment but it's not the same! What if we didn't have the correct product best suited to you in stock that would mean you have wasted time travelling to us?!

We can however, talk you through certain procedures over the phone BUT we still need to see you face to face. Another reason is people often get Skin Conditions wrong or they are describing something that we think maybe one thing but turns out to be another Skin Blemish!

We charge for consultations at the Claudia McGloin Clinic because we are medical professionals offering you expert medical advice about medical procedures. We are NOT sales people who give you a free consultation and then have to work hard to get a sale!

We pride ourselves at being experts and giving you the best treatment possible. We don't skimp or cut corners. We do what is right for you. Patient Safety is first and foremost a priority at the Claudia McGloin Clinic. You are in safe hands with us. We offer Procedures You Can Trust.

Non Surgical Nose Re-Shaping

If you are unhappy with the shape of your Nose & are looking to have a treatment but don't want to have to go under the knife, then you are in luck! At the Claudia McGloin Clinic, we can use Dermal Fillers to improve the shape of your Nose. This is a quick procedure that takes about 30 minutes and only requires a Local Anaesthetic which gives you instant results!

Non Surgical Nose Reshaping isn't for everyone and we would strongly recommend you visiting a medical clinic for a consultation prior to any procedure. If you are suitable for this treatment we can proceed on the same day and if are not suitable we can refer you to a highly qualified and skilled Consultant Plastic Surgeon for a review for a Surgical Rhinoplasty.

This procedure will make a huge difference to you and in some cases people may not even notice you've had anything done! You will of course and that is the most important thing! Best thing is the results will last about 12 months.

If you would like to book an appointment for a consultation and to see some before and after photos, contact the Claudia McGloin Clinic directly by calling 071 9140728 or email claudia@claudiamcgloinclinic.com

Time to get those legs Summer Ready

Summer is fast approaching and if you have Thread or Varicose Veins that you want to get rid of then now is the time to start your treatments.

Unfortunately, there is not quick fix when it comes to treating Veins. We need to see you, assess you and scan you! You may only have Thread Veins on your legs BUT this is the first sign that there is potentially a 'hidden' Varicose Vein present.

If this is the case we will need to treat the Varicose Vein first before we can treat the Thread Veins plus you need to wear compression stockings day & night for 2 weeks after treatment so, we don't want to be treating you during a heatwave!

Contact the Claudia McGloin Clinic & The Vein Clinic Ireland today to book a consultation and get your legs Summer Ready :)

Using Epionce daily for treating Rosacea

Rosacea is a misunderstood Skin Condition. We have found that using Epionce Skin Care & Skin Peels designed for Rosacea has greatly helped the redness.
You also need to look at your triggers such as eating spicy foods and drinking alcohol.
Below is a regimen for Improving Rosacea Symptoms using Epionce Skin Care products which are exclusively available at the Claudia McGloin Clinic.
Rosacea is a skin condition that is characterized by generalized redness/flushing of the face, pimple-like bumps, skin thickening and irritation near the eyes. Rosacea primarly affects fair-skinned people between the ages of 30-65. The common misconception is that rosacea is a form of acne. It is actually caused by chronic inflammation and abnormal blood vessel response to stimuli, resulting in redness and bumps that look similar to acne. Proper diagnosis of rosacea is essential to managing it. Treating rosacea the same as acne only worsens the condition. A gentle treatment plan is the best approach to relieve rosacea symptoms.
Benefits of Using Epionce for Rosacea
Epionce is the perfect solution to help manage the symptoms by improving barrier function and reducing inflammatory factors that can make rosacea worse. It gently, yet effectively improves the skin by reducing redness/flushing, irritation and bumps.
Daily use of a barrier repair and anti-inflammatory system like Epionce, in conjunction with the care plan recommended by your doctor, may be beneficial to improving your condition.
