The Exchange 2016

I was invited to attend The Exchange 2016 by Sligo Chamber of Commerce in December. The event was held over two days in The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa in Sligo.

The Exchange is for Ireland's Entrepreneurs to come together and network with each other as well as to be mentored by Top Business Leaders in Ireland. The 2 days were packed with mentoring and talks by some of Irelands best. The evening saw a networking event over wine tasting and a gala dinner.

Fine wines were supplied by The Wine Buff and we got to sample some of the best wines and learned how to wine taste!

The décor was fabulously done by the Radisson Blu and the food was amazing. The evening consisted of more networking and talks by amazing Entrepreneurs sharing their stories of how their businesses started.

I got to meet some amazing people including this guy - David McGowan. We just laughed and laughed over the 2 days! A standing joke is a caption for this pic - Botox & The Big Yoke!

I was also fortunate to have met and be mentored by some of Ireland's finest business leaders who have helped me with new ideas and to help with existing ones! Sometimes it's good to see others perspective on your business especially when you live and breathe yours 24/7. The input I got was invaluable and I cannot wait to put what I've learned into motion.

A huge thank you to the Sligo Chamber of Commerce for inviting me and I look forward to The Exchange 2017.

Claudia McGloin Awarded Highly Commended Nurse of the Year 2016

I'm absolutely delighted to have been awarded Highly Commended Nurse of the Year 2016 at the Safety in Beauty Diamond Awards that were held at The White Party in London on July 2nd.

I was shortlisted among 8 amazing UK nurses that are as passionate as I am about Patient Safety within the Medical Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery and Beauty Industry.

I was the only Irish nurse shortlisted and I am also delighted to announce that my colleague Dr Daniel Sister was also awarded Highly Commended Doctor of the Year.

We had an amazing time at The White Party 2016 and cannot wait for The White Party 2017.

My year in review!

As the new year fast approaches its time to reflect on the past year and also wonder what the next one will bring! This year flew but it was amazing! I have achieved so much in 12 months that it amazes me how I managed to fit it all in! Each month had something to be proud of. 

In a quick recap, I turned 40, launched my own skincare range New You & co created a new medical procedure for menopausal women called Rejuvula with my colleague Dr Daniel Sister. I have appeared in media globally, been invited onto This Morning and started working in London on a Monday. I won a fantastic prize with Bank of Ireland and saw my slogan for the Leinster Rugby team on a flag flying high in Aviva and also in Toulon. My blog was a finalist in The Blog Awards Ireland 2015 and the Claudia McGloin Clinic was a finalist in the Best Clinic Ireland category of The Aesthetic Awards 2015 in London. I also got to meet some amazing people throughout the year and formed some fabulous new friendships!

It's impossible to list everything but a snapshot of my best bits is below. 

I do hope next year will be even better and going by events lined up so far it looks to be awesome!

Runner Up in 'Best New Business' category of the Sligo Business Awards 2014

The Claudia McGloin Clinic are absolutely delighted and over the moon to have been awarded with Runner Up in the 'Best New Business' category of the Sligo Business Awards 2014.

The prestigious gala ceremony was held on Friday 12th September in The Sligo Park Hotel. There were 24 finalists in 8 categories and 1 overall winner for 'Best Business'.

It was such an achievement for us to even be nominated let alone to make the final 3. All the hard work and dedication over the past couple of years have paid off.

We would like to thank The Sligo Champion, Sligo Leader and of course YOU for making it happen.
