For doctors in Ireland - check the Irish Medical Council (IMC) www.medicalcouncil.ie

For dentists in Ireland - check the Irish Dental Council (IDC) www.dentalcouncil.ie

If the person you are looking for is not on the register then contact the regulator directly. These regulatory bodies are the only registers required to check. 

Sadly, there are people out there calling themselves doctors and nurses when they’re not...Always check the register, ask questions about qualifications and insurance.
